Progressing on the tour takes you to a second page almost identical in style to the first with only one video clip to download. This clip is 8.33 Mb in size and 1 min 42 sec in length encoded to same standard as before..

It must be pointed out at this stage that the clips did not download quickly during this review. A maximum download speed of 30 kB/sec was recorded. I was not sure if this was indicative of slow download speeds on this site, or just the state of my local broadband connection during the time of this review. A test using downloads from a Girls Boarding School movie TGP gave 608 kB/sec so I have my suspicions that the Bars and Stripes server may struggle under heavy loads.

The tour progresses until page 4 in an identical manner then on to the Join Page.

Apart from the 4 video clips there is no other free material to look at or download. If the movies within the site are the same quality as the samples then this site is already lagging behind the market leaders in film quality. If the samples have been reduced in size then I think that at least one short sample at full quality be provided to show this. Some free picture downloads to show the quality and size of images within the members’ area would not go amiss as well.
Membership services are provided by Verotel and cost $29.95 for 1 month, $74.95 for 3 months and $124.95 for 6 months.
